I'm not sure who was more excited about these pictures - me or my darling daughter.  She could hardly wait to get in her new dress and get in front of the camera.  I was just as excited to get behind the camera and capture these gems.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We made our annual visit to the Punkin Patch this week. Avari just loves picking out her own pumpkin for us to carve. It was so much fun!

First Day of School

She is only 3 1/2, but we decided that she was ready to start kindergarten at home.  Since she's been reading for over 6 months now, she is eager to learn more!

Independence Day 2009

There was a terrific Independence Day celebration nearby, and Avari tried to adopt this horse. She simply couldn't understand why he wasn't allowed to come home with us.

Birthday Party

We went to a birthday party for one of Avari's little friends.  She really wanted to take this miniature goat home with us. They were too cute together.

Spring 2009 Portraits

These outdoor shots just turned out so much better than I could have hoped.  I think Avari is moving past her dislike of having her picture made.  It was so much fun to get out at take these photos of her.

Bluebonnets 2009

We went for our annual bluebonnet trip a few days ago.  It was a lot of fun, especially because Avari's cousins were able to come with us this time.  We took lots of terrific pictures, and the kids had so much fun. I am so glad we go each year.

Surprise

We were playing outside today, and Avari decided she must have a flower for her hair.  I quickly snapped this shot before she ran off to play.  I am so glad I did.
